Heres another metal roof question! We recently purchased a home with four year old metal roofs. We want to change the the color.I have zero experience working with metal roofs or their coatings.Question; Can this be accomplished or should it?

Sure, it can be accomplished. However, keep in mind you will be voiding the warranty on the original finish. Many of today's baked-on finishes will easily last 30+ years, even 50 years. However, a field-applied airdry finish may last only 7 - 12 years.

I have a home in the British Virgin Islands with a metal roof that I think was manufactured by E.C.I Building Components , Stafford, TX. I have tried to find them via the internet but it looks like they are out of business. Can you verify that? The roof was installed about eight years ago. I was recently on the roof as it has developed a leak and it appears to need repainting already. Is that normal, i.e. requiring painting in just eight years. We are right on the coast so the roof is subjected to very harsh conditions, salt spray intense sun, etc. I want to keep the roof about the same color, which I believe was called patina green and would like a paint that has a reasonably good shoot at lasting seven years or so. What do you recommend?

You live in a very harsh environment. Depending upon the quality of the paint finish, eight years is possible.
I believe that ECI Building Components of Stafford, TX is now owned by MBCI.
It would be best if you could obtain air-dry Kynar for repainting. Always clean the roof well, apply a primer, and then the top coat.
I hope this helps.
