I'm installing a ridge vent to my sisters metal roof that currently dose not have any venting except at the gable ends. I plan to cut a 2" slot on either side of the ridge pole and use corrugated plastic ridge venting along with the appropriate foam material to keep wind blown material and moisture out between the raised seams. The problem I'm faced with is that there is no soffets on the house thus no soffet vents. Do you have any other suggestions?
