I was wondering what the minimum acceptable slope is for a metal roof in a climate with significant snow and ice accumulation.
The contractor has proposed a 1.5/12 slope standing seam metal roof over a concrete roof deck. Would this be acceptable?(Please note we will have expansive areas of roof. Some as much as 100' from ridge to eave.)
Also, could you please confirm the difference between a "structural metal roof" and an "architectrual metal roof" and whether or not one either would be more appropriate for this application.
Thanks for the help.

Generally, structural would be more appropriate for this roof. Structural roofs do not HAVE to have decking beneath them and architectural roofs do.
Also, I assume this is a mechanically seamed metal panel given the low pitch and other factors.
