Comparing a standing seam vs. a corrugated roof, I'm hearing that a standing seam installation is far more superior, and will last much longer than an overlapped corrugated roof installation. I assume this is because with S.S., the fasteners are concealed, and with the corr., many of the fasteners are exposed. Is this the case? Or is there a way to install corrugated and get a very long life out of the roof as in S.S.

You need to use a long life fastener. There are a number of them out there that come with long term warranties, typically made from Stainless Steel and with aluminum cupped washer caps to protect the rubber seal. Always remember to not overtighten the screw. Try the Ultimate screw from Atlas Bolt and Screw Company in Ohio.
