we are refoofing our ranch style house and I'm confused which is better steel or aluminum? Also I don't want to see any screws. Do we go with standing seam? thank you

True standing seam systems as well as many of the shingle, shake, and tile profile products have concealed fasteners. Aluminum vs steel comes down a lot to what your preference is and perhaps what area of the country you're in. Aluminum can be preferential for coastal areas. Steel can be preferential for some severe hail areas. So much also has to do with the design of the product though. More heavily formed products have inherent strength that can be a real positive regardless of the metal. Todd Miller
