Hi, We are building a new house which has been designed to include a metal roof. We are on a tight budget and our builder has recommended a 29 gauge G-90 HDG with a silicone polyester coating (featuring 10S from The Valspar Corporation). The roof will be 5V with through fastened panels. As much as we would like a metal roof, our dilema is, is this still a wise option for us and our budget or is this roof only as good as a typical 30 year shingle roof? Thank you!
