The roof over my bumpout kitchen is relatively flat with little pitch to shed water. It is approximately 6 X 12 feet. How can I change the pitch? Can I build a frame of plywood over 2 x4s treated lumber to correct pitch and then reshingle?
Can you advise please?

Some metal roof systems can be installed on low slopes. You may want to spend some time on the MRA manufacturing member's web sites to see the various products that are available.
The pitch can certainly be built up in the manner you describe. If you do decide to use a metal roof , you should not use treated wood unless you are prepared to (1)cover it with a peel and stick membrane to keep it away from the bottom of the metal panels and (2)use stainless steel fasteners to attach the metal to the wood. The ACQ treated wood is highly corrosive to steel and should not come into contact with it.
