I am having a standing seam roof installed over a silver reflective decking. Installer wants to put roof directly over the decking with no air space between decking and standing seam roof. Is that correct? Is there supposed to be an air space between the roof and the decking. Will there be a condensation problem?

Standing seam roofs are often installed direct to decks. Ventilating your attic space should help alleviate condensation concerns. Check with the metal roofing manufacturer for their specific recommendations for the panel you are using.
