Hi, I'm considering buying a house that has a metal roof, however, the inspector said the roof was put over cedar shingles and that the insurance company might not insure. Any thoughts?

Check with your insurance company but this is done on a regular basis and I doubt they will have any issues with it. There is no added risk to them. Their only concern might be if the roof ever did have to be replaced, they would need to remove two layers of roofing instead of one. Todd Miller
