I want to finish my 1/2 round ridge cap on my 5-v metal roof with an eagle's beak detail. It is described in Steve Mouzon's Traditional Construction Details manual. It states you cut the 1/2 round ridge cap to extend about 6" beyond the roof edge. Fold it under like a paper airplane and then fold the tabs under. Can anyone give me a little more info on creating this finish detail or a source where I can see a picture illustation how this is done. It is supposed to be a traditional detail to prevent water instrusion back into the 1/2 ridge cap and it looks neat.
