Relatives assume I've lost my mind, but I have a cape that needs a new roof, Being thrifty, I'd like to install one myself! (I think) 12/12, 1200 sq ft. How realistic is it for a 35 year old male in ok shape to tear off, repair some considerable rot, (hopefully no framing damage) in a 5 day period?

The thing that concerns me the most would be the roof slope. Unless you have some friends with a little experience that are willing to help, I would consider paying a profesional to do the reroof.
