We are planning to install SIPS roof panels on a small commercial building along with corrugated metal roofing. What is the general practice relative to venting the roof system with furring between the two systems, or are we O.K. to leave the roof unvented in this particular application. The building will be located in SW MIssouri.

The International Building Code requires a 1" vented airspace. To accomplish this you would beed vertical battens followed by horizontal ones and the roofing.
