I work for an architect. We are looking at a metal roof in Mandan ND made by INRYCO. There is some leakage at the fasteners, either backing out, embrittlement of the neoprene washer, or metal movement enlarging the fastener holes. Some of the fasteners have been caulked over and that has taken care of the leaks in some locations. I know that caulk is not a solution. Can we get an oversize screw and washer and just repalce the screws over the whole building or is this a case of having to replace the whole roof? does someone make an oversize screw and washer?

A couple of fastener manufacturers are MRA members ... you can find them through this site. I think they can help you with finding larger fasteners to replace the existing. Todd Miller
