This is for a nonwinterized cottage. How far appart should the horizontal strappings be? The sheet metal used will be either 26 or 29 ga. Thanks in advance

Your question is too broad to answer. The purlin spacings depend upon the snow load for your area, the panel gauge and profile and what you are using for purlins. I would recommend that you have an engineer review this after you choose the panel you want to use.
