I am planning to purchase a newly constructed home that has a metal roof. I noticed that the roof has no insulation and there are 1x4s nailed then the metal with no decking or barrier beteen the metal roof and the trusses. There is insulation on the attic floor but none in the roof at all. Will this become a problem for me later?

If warm, moist air comes into contact with the underside of the roof panels when they are at or below the dew point temperature, then condensation will occur. The key in a situation such as this is to ensure adequate ventilation in the attic so the warm, moist air can quickly get out of the attic space. I would consider contacting a local HVAC engineer to review the construction to determine if the ventilation is adequate.
