My metal tile roof has had several leaks around the dormer (roof) vents. My roofer states that there is an acceptable amount of water intrusion from wind driven rain for these clam shell style vents. Is there a vent that doesn't let water blow in or is my roofer blowing smoke?

CAPY -- can you email me pictures of what you have? This sounds strange to me. My email is [email protected] Sure, some vents may get some wind-driven rain in through the vent holes but they should not leak around the vent itself. Not sure exactly what you have ot what is happening. Have you contacted the rofing manufacturer? Todd Miller
