I am designing a "American Prairie" style home with a full hip standing seam metal roof.
How can I design the upper attic ventilation through the roof so it is not ugly. I do not want to use dormer vents. The house is a rectangle 56' x 42', one hip roof. Can I use some type of ridge vent ? "Cor-a-vent" type ?
Is there a metal ridge vent that will be attractive ? I need about 1300 sq. in. of net free air for the upper attic space !
Thanks Any one out there.

The manufacturer of your standing seam system will have either parts or drawings for a low profile ridge vent. It must come form the roofing manufacturer in order to match.
