I do believe our roof needs to be replaced, plywood and all. the house is small about 30' x 28'. What would the cost be for a metal roof is it cheaper or more expensive than a traditional shingle roof. Were not wealthy, so we are looking for the better alternative.

A quality residential metal roof will run 2 - 3 times the cost of standard shingles. However, if you plan to stay in the house through just one more re-roofing cycle with conventional shingles, the durability of metal roofing will allow the roof to pay for itself over that time. Todd Miller
