I have standing seam roofs on the front and back porches of my house that is about a year old. I noticed that when the weather turned cooler the contraction of the panels had pulled the metal away from the brick wall, up to an inch in some places. The contractor had caulked the joint between the roof and brick wall with silicone, but it has pulled away in places. Do you have recommendations for flashing or other type of seal for this type of joint?

You need to have a sawcut into the brick, parallel to the roof and about 6" above it and then a flashing inserted into it, come down the wall, and extend out over the roofing by 6" or so. Fuill the gaps with metal, sealant, or foam filler.
