I installed a ridge vent and can not use any sofit or eve vents due to fire danger in my area. I am looking into installing a dormer vent but do not want to go that way. Is there another product out there that will add cross flow ventilation?

Look for a foam product called Veri- V_____? it fits under the ridge cap and keeps moisture out and lets air in..

You could look at opposing gable vents to try to get some ventilation. Todd Miller

Not sure what that might be. Check into Cor-A-Vent, CobraVent, and ProfileVent. Todd Miller

Thank you, I finally got an inspector that did not have his head in his rear and understood the ridge vent idea. At first they wanted me to install dormer vents but that would have looked very bad.
