Thank you Mr. Miller. I visited the sites you suggested and found that McElroy metals had the most detailed info. A couple of quick questions. Do all 5v-crimp roof styles have exposed fastners or can you go to conceled fastners?. In our project, the plan is to remove an existing built up gravel roof and get down to the plywood sheeting. Our contractor has given us the option of 30lb felt or a 'peel-n-stick' underlayment. Any pro's or con's (besides a substantial price difference)to the above options? Other options he gave us were 'foam board w2/x sleepers' under the metal roof and stainless steel roof screws. Again, major price increases and not sure if we need to go this route...your thoughts? P.S. we live in southwest Florida which I think is important to know!!
I would appreciate your opinions....Thanks, Paul Lapinski, Englewood Florida.

This all gets pretty complex real quick, including the big question of ventilation. Self adhering underlayments in particular do not breathe, even further increasing the importance of good ventilation.
5V Crimp by definition is an exposed fastener product.
I would ask your contractor a lot about what ventilation is necessary to avoid a build up of heat and moisture.
