Hello Experts- I am constructing a 20 x 20 painting studio and need skylights in the ceiling. "They" tell me that I should not consider a metal roof. However, I had a metal roof with skylights in a home in Vermont and I liked it alot -skylights and all. Please advise. Thank You FOr Your Time! Most skylight manufacturers make kits for installation into metal roofs and most metal roofing manufacturers have detailed installation instructions as it pertains to their products. Interesting that most other roofing materials rely on metal flashing to put in a skylight.
