I have a steel roof on the rear of my home. I don't have a lot of pitch. I have a lot of ice build up on my eaves. My question is this? How do I put up a heat tap of some kind? I can find no info on this what so ever. Thanks regards jack

Is the ice build-up causing a problem? Why do you feel the need to get rid of it? Todd Miller

Becasue I have 4 skylights about 5' up from the eaves and the ice keeps the snow from melting off and casues my sky lights to leak a bit..

Okay ... thanks. First of all, you want to have your attic well insulated and well ventilated so that heat from inside the home is not a contributing factor to your problems. Next, I would look for S5! clips and attach the heat tape to them. You should find them through a Google search. If you have gutters and downspouts on this roof, you will want heat tape in them as well Todd Miller
