I wanted to know what is considered a better roof choice (cost, durability, ease of installation)-a Panel or a shingle metal roof. We will be building a home in Texas next summer and I see mostly panel metal roofs but I prefer the look of the metal shigles. Thank you, Kaitlin

There are specific criteria to evaluate when considering the quality of a metal roof. What the product "looks" like isn't one of them actually. Things to consider are base metal type and quality, coating / finish, fastening method, product design and testing, and installation. The "look" of the product (panel or shingle) really doesn't determine quality.
