I'm building a new home and my roofing company is installing 24 ga. Kyner 500, (colored) 5-V Crimp metal with stainless steel fasteners. My question is I dry the roof in with 30lb felt and I have seem where there are putting heavyer thick stickly kind of felt down. I would like to know if that would be better for sealing around the fastners and adhersing the plywood to the metal? Thank you, Debbie

That product would be an ice and water shield that is self adhering and self sealing. There are various grades though. Typically it is used along the eave and valley areas for severe weather climates or when the roof slope is low and there is a chance of back up. The fasteners penetrate the decking to provide wind uplift seal to the roofing and not rely on the underlayment.
