Metal Roofing: I own a Double-Wide and the roof is fully vented. There is not much insulation under the roof, so I want to rip the roofing off and put two inches of Foam on the roof boards. What, I want to know is what I have to do to put standing seam metal roofing over that? Any help that you can be will greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Dale Schoner

You need to know what resulting roof pitch you will have and then choose a metal roof product that is appropriate for that pitch. I would also take a hard look at ventilation issues. Todd Miller

I am assuming that there is plywood on this roof and you want the foam on top of that for extra insulation. You will then use fasteners to go through the foam and into the decking. Yes,Iwould put underayment on top of the foam. However, you need to make sure that the product you're installing is acceptable for installation over foam and in this manner. Many products are not.
