Hello, I was told that metal roofing is the way to go to make a usable space under my deck. What I want to know is how to install this correctly. Is there a site or a company that does this work? Thanks, DJ

I am building a roof over my deck, 60ft.long by 10ft. wide. Can I have a one foot hangover on each end of the 60 ft. and a two foot hangover on the front of the deck, ie. making it 62ft. by 12 ft.? Todd Miller

I am not quite sure what malfunction caused my name to show up as author on this original message. Anyway, I was not author of it. The answer to what you're describing will be determined by what type of metal roofing you choose. If you choose a non-structural product which must be installed over decking then you can cover as much roof as you deck with the product, within strucutual and load limitations of the building itself I suppose. If you're using a structual metal roof, meaning one that can go over battens, then it will need to be secured at the entire perimeter and you'll need to then consult with the product manufacturer to determine what your batten spacing should be within the field area.
