I'm considering a re-roof project replacing concrete tiles with a non-rusting metal tile product. I was wondering about maintance of the stone coated products. Will algae and mildew be an issue, if so will a pressure cleaning blow off the stone coatings? What is the preferred way to keep these products clean? Thanx

Funny, the questions are opposite in Britain where they want the algae to grow on new products to make them look old. Algae will grow on any surface once dirt takes hold. As a manufacturer of booth products we do not recommend power washing of either. A mild solution of bleach, TSP and dish soap applied with a garden hose once or twice a year will generally keep the algae under control and is cheap and easy to do. Just like touchless washing a car.
