I am considering metal roof for my home. It is standard split-entry home with ~1800 sq.ft roof area. One chimney in the middle and two 1'x1' vents. No complications, valley, e.t.c. Can someone kind enough to avise me for a standing seam (vertical panel, conseled fastner) type metal roof what am I looking at as for $per sq. feet cost of materail+installtion for Aluminum (.032" thick - 12" panels) and Steel (24 Gauge - 15" pannels)? Youe assistance would greatly help me in making decision.

Hello. Thank you so much for your consideration of metal roofing. We do appreciate your interest.
The Metal Roofing Alliance is a coalition of metal roofing manufacturers and suppliers joined together to promote metal roofing to consumers. Our Antitrust Guidelines forbid us from holding any sort of price discussion in a public forum.
I would suggest contacting individual manufacturers directly and they or their dealers can help you with this information.
Best Regards and Thanks Again.

In choosing an appropriate metal roof system, there are numerous factors which go far beyond just the base material. However, if you're looking strictly at the metal itself, and no other variables are taken into consideration, the answer to your question, in my opinion, would be "yes".
