We are first time home owners and are in need of replacing the existing roof (appr 18yrs old); the roof sustained some damage during recent hurricanes. What are some general guidelines when looking for a contractor? This is new territory for us. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Choose a metal roofing product that fits you needs. You can go to the phot gallery and manufactures section of the MRA web site to help select. Then go to the Find a contractor section which will help you get started. Also contact the manufacturer of the selected product and ask for recommendations. Once you find a contractor, interview him and ask for 3 referances on similar jobs and take the time to go see them and talk to the owners.
