Planning on putting a metal ribbed roof on a house and have been told that weather tearing down the old asphalt or not, I should use "fan fold" foam insulation under the metal. Just curious if it sounds like sound advice. Thanks a million!!!

Generally, I do not suggest this for several reasons. I would, however, go back to the manufacturer of your roofing and see what they say. Todd Miller
