I heard not too long ago about a type of metal roofing that is supposed to cut your energy bills drastically. What brand or type do I look for? I think it was supposedly installed over your existing roof, adding insulation in the process. If anyone remembers the specific brand name, or if it's just a technique rather than a brand name, please let me know. We live in a double-wide, and those things leak like a sieve, and our electric bills are astronomical some months. We are looking to replace roofing in about three years, and are wanting to save up to get a more energy efficient roof.

The latest and greatest along these lines is that many metal roofing manufacturers are now using coatings on their products which include reflective pigments so that, even in dark colors, good solar reflection is attained. Todd Miller
