metal roof valleys

How do i install the valley of a metal roof?

Appreciating there are many differant metal roofing systems each application is differant and this question should be asked of the manufacturer. If you are referring to the vertical rib utility panels, then you should be using a 24" minimum wide W valley metal of 26 ga. I would strongly suggest using ice and water shield 6 ft wide up the centre of the valley as it is self sealing and will allow closer fastening of the sheets. The valley metal is installed after the underlayment and if it exits onto a lower roof, then the metal on the lower roof needs to be installed first.
