Looking for the best roof for the price to use in South West Florida. Is there any published material to state what a standing seam roof wind load at a 3/12 or 4/12 pitch will with stand? Is there a better metal roof than standing seam for wind? Any help to point me in right direct would be grateful. We're starting 300 homes in first quarter of 2006.

Bill,
As you look at this website, you will see that there are many different types of metal roofing. All sorts of profiles, metals, looks, finishes, etc.
Virtually all of these products have passed the uplift tests required by Dade County. Individual manufacturers will be able to share with you the results of their uplift testing.
There is really no such thing as "generic" metal roofing. Many people think there is. Each product manufacturer by each manufacturer will carry its own testing and wind uplift information.
My suggestion is that you use this website to find some products you like the looks of and then contact the manufacturers in regards to your plans and project.
