If you build a home using 6 1/2" SIP's for walls and ceiling then using the roof as a "shade" for the box (house w/o roof). What would be the optimal set up for the metal roof to try to keep the attic space cool? ex: deck/insulation/etc.
The ceiling SIP would allow about an R 26 value, so the attic ventilation could be very aggressive in moving air through the attic space.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Balanced air flow just like the building code calls for, 50% at the eave and 50% at the ridge. Supply minimum one sf of free air for every 150sf of ceiling area.
