Could you please tell me the recommendaton for the underlayment? I need to know the temporary underlaying before the metal roof. What is the standard and best recommendation for the use of felt? Thanks, Becky

Really, you're best to find what the roofing manufacturer calls for. For many years, 30-pound felt was the "norm" but in recent years the synthetics have become more and more commonplace. You also want to know what the building code in your area requires. Todd Miller
