How do you make the intersection of a valley to the existing roof at the lower end, where the valley does not extend clear to the edge of the roof (such as in a dormer roof), using standing rib steel roofing and W Valley material? I'm not sure how to keep water from running down the valley into the underside of the steel roofing. Doug

The manufacturer is the best place to start. Having said that, the common practice for vertical rib metal roofing is to have split sheets where the valley exits. Bestv to lay the roof out from the valleys whenever possible. The lower sheet should be long enough to reach the top of the valley metal, then install the valley metal over the sheet which will require cutting off one seam or laying it flat. Then install the upper sheet over the valley to the cut off line. Best to cut the tail of the sheet perpendicular to the sheet at the top of the valley termination sheet.
