Economics and ease of installation

The time has come for my roof to be replaced and I am interested in installing it in metal. What style tends to be the most cost effective? I will be installing the roof myself. Is there a difference in ease of installation of one style over another? Thanks Chris

I would first look to investigate why your existing roof failed. From this you can best choose a system that will address them. Make sure you calculate the ventilation requirements by code and compare to existing. remeber you are making a lifetime decision and it should not just be based on ease of installation. Having said that there are modular panels that have great looks and are more user friendly and then there are larger sheets that require certain tools etc to cut and fold. Certainly the configuration and slope have a factor and remeber to ask about the substrate and coating performance. Good luck.
