In your opinion, would I be better suited to go with the Akzo 950 or BASF Ultra-cool painted in a Burnished slate color? The price is no different, so my concern is fading/chalking vs. energy efficiency. Also, I will be placing a radiant barrier underneath the metal roof, so that will add to the reflectivity of radiant energy. Thanks for your response.

Brian, Assuming these are both Kynar 500 / Hylar 5000 paint systems (and I believe that they are), the weathering between the two will be basically the same. By the way, AKZO has a reflective pigment finish as well. As for your radiant barrier -- if the barrier does not face an air space (one way or the other), it will not be terribly helpful. Todd Miller
