The end tabs of each standing seam on my new roof were bent tight against the seam when the roof was installed, after a winter most are open about an inch and some are twisted out of shape. What is the best action for this problem. The installer claims the end tabs were only there for alignment purposes only and he can cut them off. What do you recommend? Thanks

Keeping those tabs close and in place can be difficult in the winter. I would, however, send pictures of this situation to the manufacturer of the roofing and see what they say. Thay may have a suggestion as far as foam closures or sealant which could be used instead. Todd Miller
