When to replace an asphalt shingled roof?

My 25 year old Johns Mansville fiberglass shingles were installed on a newly constructed house with 1/2 inch plywood roof sheathing (and "tar paper"). The shingles appear to be holding up well with no buckling or wear spots. There are no water leaks visible in the attic during heavy rainfalls, and the roof looks great. Is there any reason to automatically replace the roof if it does not leak? Thank You
