We are interested in replacing our asphalt residential roof with a metal roof. Could you suggest a list of the most useful/important questions to ask a prospective contractor to help us evaluate their ability to do a quality job installing a metal roof? (As well as what the appropriate answers should be.)
Also, questions we should ask a contractor to help us evaluate what type of metal roofing to install would be very helpful as well.

I would ask why they think your existing roof failed and what features in the new roof would resolve the problem. I would research the style of roofing I am looking for and make sure the contractor is experienced and carries that line. Then I would ask for refferals (3)on similar type installations that he has completed and then call them. Then check the contractor oout with the manufacturer of the product asking if they have any complaints. Good luck.
