My roofer guy told me that 26 gauge is better than 29 gauge. Is that true? He said the lower the number the stronger the metal. I just wanted to check this out with ya'll cause the other estimate that I got was with 29 gauge. Thanks in advance--

With steel, yes, the lower the gauge number, the thicker the metal. There are many things besides gauge which go into producing a good roof system though. Product design and testing, paint finish or other coating, and proper installation all come to mind. Todd Miller
