proper way for metel roofing?

What are you supposed to put under metel roofing? I was told no wood just seal around the edges of the metel. This did not sound right.

Robert, There are metal roofs which can be installed over lathe boards rather than over solid decking. However, most residential metal roofs do require solid decking. It all depends upon how the particular product has been engineered and tested. Use this website to find a product or two that you like and then contact the manufacturer for installation details.
