My house has a gambrel roof, actually two intersecting ones along with gables and covered decks. How are the seams engineered and also how is the transition from the verticle side to the flatter roof over the decks done?

Metal roofs designed for residential use will come with instructions for how to handle these areas, and they may have available pre-formed accessories as well. You will need valley pans for the intersecting roofs and a pitch change flashing for the steep to low slope transition. The exact configuration of these flashings will be determined by the exact configuration of metal roofing you choose. As you have seen on this website, there are many choices. Todd Miller
