I am roofing a building with 36" wide 5 rib roofing. The building has a dutch hip,the hip ends at a small gable near the peak.I am looking for details on terminating the hip cap as it arrives at the small gable end. Also I am looking for any published material on metal roof detailing.Any references would be appreciated. THANKS!

I would try to tuck the hip cap up under the gable edge trim and under the topwall flashing inside of the gable. Both of those flashings need to come out on top of the hip cap. Todd Miller
