I have constructed a 8:12 pitched roof over a walkway in Vermont. Normal snows to 24 inch, with the house roof above. I have covered the OSB sheathing with "Tri-Flex 30" using nails with 1 inch plastic washers per manufacturers recomendations. I now quention the thickness of the metal roofing. Will the washer show thru the metal if I use 26 gauge steel standing seam panels?

Make sure the cap nails are firmly seated. It should be okay. You may wish to pose this question to the manufacturer of the roofing though as it may depend upon the roofing product's exact profile. Todd Miller
