You have answered one question for us before and thanx for that. One or two more questions for you. We have a 5/12 pitch gable style (shingle) roof with a 3 foot overhang that seems to droop at the corners. The facia board has rotted wood at the bottom corners and that's getting fixed. My question - is this droop cause for alarm? I have been deep in the attic and do not find any truss or plywood rot where the droop exists. Is it possible that not enough ventilation caused the trusses to cook (so to speak) and warp? A roofer here want's to look at my trusses also and suggests he can make it "look" straight again with battens and shims (and then metal) but not actually straighten it. Short of not finding a reason for the warp in my roof is it OK to do what the roofer wants? He says I don't have nearly enough ventilation, 4000 Sq Ft and 2 12" turbines. A tight budget stops us from rebuilding the roof but we would like metal if possible.

It is probably feasible to straighten up the roof line a bit when the metal roof is installed.
This droopiness could be caused by moisture and ventilation problems ... it also may just be due to structural age or possibly a defect in the original structure.
The rotten wood may be because the sag has caused water to gather repeatedly in that area.
