in 1979 my father built a garage with a standing seam tin roof. I remember my family would periodically paint the roof with some kind of silver paint. the roof is in bad shape, rust everywhere, and I want to paint it with that old silver stuff until I have money to do something else. Whats the name of that silver stuff & is it as easy as I make it sound? Pamela, Good luck with everything. There are various types of aluminized paints available. I would suggest going to a quality name brand paint store, bring some pictures (close up if possible) of what you have, and seeing what they suggest as far as a new finish.
