Is there metal roofing that is economical, attractive, long-lasting available for a 1973 manufactured home with a ramada roof with 1:12 pitch (3400 sq feet)? Research has only provided us with roofing for higher pitched roofs. We would like to put this on ourselves but will consider a contractor.

If your roof is what I think it is, horizontal purlin would need to go down followed by a mechanically seamed metal syanding seam similar to what is used on industrial metal buildings. This probably would not be a DIY job but would need to be addressed by a commercial metal roofing installer. You also will need to pay attention to ventilation in order to avoid future condensation problems.

Is your name Todd Miller? I thought that was my name.
There are a variety of roof-over systems available for older homes, some of them utilizing metal pans.
I am guessing your home has too low of roof pitch for a standard metal roof.
I would suggest a Google search for mobile home metal roofs.
